Blade & Rose is a leading British children’s clothing brand that specializes in a trendsetting range of leggings and clothing accessories. The brand was founded during the maternity leave of its creator in 2010, when she became bored of the mundane designs of children’s leggings on the market at the time.
The Story
Determined to create something unique and trendy, the founder began putting together prototypes that all included their own designs on the bottom of the leggings. After the third successful prototype attempt and lots of research, the decision was made to launch the brand and Blade & Rose was born.
Since the very first pair of Blade & Rose leggings, the clothing has been made using top quality yarn. A major component of the development was ensuring that the quality of the fabric was durable, functional, would wash well, and most importantly, would be kind to a baby’s skin. This has remained a fundamental aspect of the company’s ethos.
The brand launched their products to a range of high-end, independent children’s clothing stores and gift shops, and the three initial designs sold out immediately. This was evidence that there were plenty of parents out there struggling with the same predicament as the founder.
Despite juggling a full-time job and raising two toddlers, the founder spent her evenings and weekends working to make Blade & Rose a success. All the hard work paid off as the brand is now in its 12th year of trading.
What started as a husband-and-wife duo has blossomed into an amazing team who all help to make Blade & Rose what it is today. The British family business has stockists all over the world, including Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Greece, Japan, China, Taiwan, UAE, New Zealand, and Australia and is now extensively rolling out in the USA.
Blade & Rose continues to extend the clothing range with matching accessories and more loveable designs, and is definitely a brand to watch.
